Food has been incredible and the tasting menu is so well thought out. Environment is really intimate and engaging by staff. They are really knowledgeable about what they are serving. If you have reservations, and need to wait for your table, the bar next door works in connection with the restaurant and they will go and grab you when the table is ready. Super friendly team and lovely environment.

I've been wanting to try this place after seeing it recommended on Reddit by Portland locals. We had the pre-fix tasting menu. I would've also done the wine pairing, but unfortunately there was only one red wine out of the five. The food was very creative and cooked to perfection. All the dishes were beautifully presented and tasted great. My favorites were - Oyster based sauce that came with the pork cheeks - Venison heart - Citrus cake - Fois gras profiteroles. They were very different, interesting and creative Service was prompt, efficient and professional, quite formal. A great place with excellent and unique food for a special occasion.

The dining experience at Le Pigeon is undoubtedly an unforgettable feast. From the moment you enter the restaurant, you can feel an atmosphere that is both elegant and warm. The space design is exquisite without losing its personality, modern without being ostentatious, and the appropriate lighting and comfortable seating arrangement make people feel relaxed and full of expectations In terms of service, Le Pigeon has undoubtedly done a good job in details. The waiters are polite and professional, quick but not impatient, and know every dish on the menu well and can provide accurate recommendations based on the needs of the guests. In this environment, you are not just enjoying a meal, but more like having an in-depth conversation with a group of people who understand ingredients and culinary art As for the food, every dish shows the chef's ingenuity. From appetizers to main dishes, to desserts, layer by layer, every surprise of the taste seems to be an artistic collision with the ingredients themselves. Whether it is the combination of ingredients or the control of the heat, it shows the extremely high level of the restaurant. You can taste the story and exquisiteness behind every bite In general, Le Pigeon is more than just a restaurant, it is more like an experience, a lifestyle that integrates food and service. For those who are mature, stable and have a deep understanding of food, Le Pigeon is undoubtedly a place worth visiting again and again. Every visit can bring new surprises, as if it is another sublimation of the taste of life

Wow, I had high expectations for this restaurant and it still managed to exceed it. Everything was incredible - both the food and the service. I was fortunate that my friend got the vegetarian menu and I got the omnivore so that we could try all the things - and they were both equally good. We both also each got the supplemental dish which was a great option - the one on the vegetarian menu is to die for. Given that their menu fluctuates I won't detail out every dish and how good they were but out of the 16 dishes I ate or tried - there was only 1 that was lackluster - those are some pretty good odds. If you're worried about being hungry after because the plates look small - trust me that won't be a problem - I was bursting by the end I was so full. The ambiance is also so great - a balance of cozy and intimate yet lively - a great spot for rich conversation. I'll be dreaming of Le Pigeon until I can return.

It's been months and I still think about my dinner here- I enjoyed every dish and the wine pairings were perfect with the meal. Service was prompt and friendly, helpful in explaining dishes and wine options and pairings. I'd wanted to come here for a long time and I'm so glad I did with a group of friends- looking to return for a date night, it's the perfect spot for it.

A wonderful way to end my excursion to Portland. I appreciated the creative flourishes and variety of flavors in each dish. I waa seated besides the chef, which was absolutely wonderful. Getting to see the masters cook was amazing. I went on a sunday, so it made for an intimate dining experience. 1. Chicken Liver Mousse Eclair Started off with this quick bite. I liked the onion jam, but nothing else came off as notworthy. 2. Beef Carpaccio Now this dish was really unique. A lot of things going on that sum up to something greater than its parts. The beef in this dish is more of a vessel for the different textures and flavors in the dish. There is crunchiness from the pine nut, a bit of spice from the peppers, a bit for fruitiness from the date, and a ton of other flavors 3. Bread & Butter Kinda boring ngl. The bread was kinda mid. The butter had some balsamic reduction on top, but i couldn't taste it. Also not salty enough. 4. Sturgeon Pastrami While i appreciate the creative effort, this one was a bit of a swing and a miss. The idea of seafood pastrami is new to me, and the sturgeon tasted excellent. The issue was that it had way too much spices on it. So much so that it overpowered all the garnishes in the dish. I couldnt taste the caviar at all. Also they included a russian sauce that I found unappetizing. 5. Black Cod We so back with this one. An amazing dish. The cod was cooked beautifully, the mussels paired well with the cod and added some extra seafoodiness, and the tumeric emulsion was just the cherry on top! My only complaint is that I thought the cucumbers were a tad bit too acidic. They were sautéed in the same sauce as the leeks, but i think the larger surface area of the cucumber made them absorb too much of whatever the marinade was. 6. Blanquette De Veau Holy shit so good. The sweetbread was a new experience for me. The veal was absolutely divine. One nitpick is that visually its kinda boring. But taste-wise 10/10. 7. Pear Tart A good dessert. It's a pretty straightforward pear tart with ice cream. 8. Foie Gras Profiterole Le Pigeon's signature dessert. Frankly, I dont see the hype. Maybe my palette isn't refined but i couldn't make out the foie gras flavor. I honestly dont think it justifies its existence in the dish and is just pretentious.

This place was just 10/10. Everything that came out was great and the wine pairing was one of the most top notch I've ever had, it paired so well with the food. The tasting is $140 per person and they offer a vegetarian option. The service was great and the server Christopher did a great job. I would recommend this place for a date night or a special occasion, it was worth the money.

Not sure what I expected but that meal definitely blew my mind. Perfect place to celebrate a birthday, the counter was fun since we were able to look into the kitchen. The servers were super helpful and knowledgeable. I definitely can't afford to eat here often but happy to have had the experience.

My boyfriend surprised me with reservations here for my birthday and it was a perfect spot to celebrate. We sat right at the counter and got to watch the chefs do their thing! The space is small and cozy with some really fun decor. It's French, so there was a wine pairing, I'm not a wine person, so I opted for a cocktail, but the menu is pretty limited there. The food though, it was incredible. From the first bite to the last, we were treated to some really fun and creative flavor and texture combinations. I absolutely loved the starter, which was a savory unagi rice krispie. We also opted for the supplementary plate, which was a twist on musubi. Everything was perfectly cooked, I'd love to come back to see what they come up with for other seasons.
